20B water pump shim
20B water pump shim
I’m new to the 20b engine so I’m seeking help from the knowledge on the forum.
Here’s the deal, I’m replacing the gasket between the water pump housing and the front iron. When I removed the housing I noticed that the two nuts on the right side of the housing weren’t torqued to spec. They were almost loose. After removing the housing I noticed that the shim that is used in that location (at least on the 13b-rew)wasn’t there. That might be the reason why the one who assembled the engine didn’t torque those nuts. My question is, is that shim also used on the 20b? The housing I’m using a has a 13b-rew water pump on it. Although the housing looks different than the one on the rew maybe came from a 13b-re.
