Whichever car is lighter, is better tuned, has better tires, has better suspension, has better gearing, has better various other parts, has a better driver, and is driving in the choice lane on the drag strip.

With all things being equal the FC would win race 2, because of weight

Isn't the FD lighter than the FC?

Evial aviator man your the man always on top of things lol... I forgot to mention those things sorry. What I meant to say was both drivers same skill level, both cars with no interior just the racing stuff needed gauges, seat etc...

I wanted to know for comparison for anyone who wants to decide on which car.

Although I have noticed alot of people doing it with the Fc. is that becuase there lighter or just cheaper lol....

LOL. OK, basically it is all speculation, and you aren't going to get any credible or useful answers to your original question. Please note that horsepower is represented by a curve, not a fixed number. The power band plays a big role in performance of a car. Therefore, you can't even compare one "450hp" engine to another unless you know the power curve. Even after that, there are other performance considerations such as throttle response, boost threashold, turbo lag, etc. I'm not going to touch the FC vs. FD issue, because that is even more subjective than the engine comparison.

If you are just trying to find out the basic performance difference between a 20B-REW and a 13B-REW, the 3-rotor will generally have more torque, will run smoother, and spool the turbo better due to the additional rotor, but will weigh more.

You got it! The FC is easier and cheaper to convert to a 20B, and the car itself is cheaper.

Not necessarily. The MT FD curb weight is listed around 2789 - 2862 depending on the trim level, while the MT FC coupe curb weight is listed around 2625 - 2987 depending on the model and year. How much each car weighs when modified to the levels listed in the first post of this thread depends on the individual builder.

Evil Aviator like I said your the man always on top of things. I bow before you ( laughs out loud with humor)

I see what your saying Although the fd looks ten times better than the fc, I might have to jsut buy the Fc I wanted and start with that then move to the Fd at a later time. I appreciate the info Evil I value yoru knowledge. Your a true gentleman and a scholar indeed youa re sir.

thanks JD
