Question 20b in a REPU, will it fit?

Well, the title says it all. Considering building an NA 20b truck to put around in... will it even fit?

It would be built for low end power... torque is what I'm looking for in this motor... is it feasible (has anyone done it) to actually make MORE restrictive exhaust sleeves and place them in the rotor housings for something like this?

Having a 20b truck to tow my 20b FC would be cool as hell, but I don't think it feasible... given the size of the engine and the frame of the truck... so that is NOT my intentions...

Actually, this post is just a brain storm. I'm having FC withdrawals since my car has been in the body shop for the last 4 days... I am just itching to get it running now!!!!! As in RIGHT NOW!!!!

if you can put a 20b in an fd its gotta fit into a repu.
if you need it a have a gsl-se injection setup that i dont need, peak torque at 2750rpms

I've taken a few measurements of my REPU and am planning a 20B in my Cosmo. I've seen a V8 in a Ford Courier wich is basically the same truck as the B1600. The REPU has a ladder frame and should be quite easy to weld on. The only things to be aware of are the main crossmember, centerlink, front crossmember (with motor mounts attatched) and the overall extra length to accomodate. Fitting the 20B's oil pan will definitely be a custom job. The engine bay is also shorter than a CD (Cosmo) or FC so the radiator may need to be moved forward like the V8 guys did in that Courier (it was nearly touching the grill). Exhaust should be quite easy since there is no idler arm in the way, and enough room to fit a three way header into a single large pipe, or whatever you choose to use. I think the repuguru is also thinking about doing an NA 20B in of of his REPUs. My friend would also like to do a 20B in his REPU some day. As for me, I'm still planning to do a 20B in my Cosmo, but who knows?

theres a guy around here with a v8 in a rotary pickup it actually fit pretty well, but you have to question why they put a v8 in a rotary pickup

Yeah sticking a V8 in the Repu just seems wrong to do because then you would have to change the tailgate to "ONCE HAD ROTARY POWER" because of the V8

Ask Rob at Pineapple racing about this; he has a picture of a 20B REPU on his website!
