I dont think the stock intake manifold will support revving up to 8.5k. Shifting at 7k most likely would be a better choice.

We want some video of that thing going to 7K in all gears....
1. It's not an FB.

2. I had both my wife & 6yo daughter in the car.

The idea was to let people hear what it sounds like driving normally, they are plent of other sounds & vids of it being reved out.

Wrong.

In Australian we had SA22C chassis cars only, no such thing as a FB chassis, as I said earlier.

Series 3's were actually '83-'85 too.

North America was the only place to call later first gens FBs due to the 17 digit vins. My '83 series 3 is not a FB.

Well a bit has happened since I last posted about the car

First off, engine spun a bearing, seems as though there was something dodgy in the oil

Whatever it was, ate the paint off the workshop floor

I have been running in the new engine over the last couple of weeks

Just got back from the dyno this morning

Engine made 245hp and was still making power over 8300 rpm

This was on a dyno dynamics dyno (normally read around 15% less than a dyno jet)

Well just took some videos of the car with the stock intake, probably the last video of this setup.

Diff is on the way out so had to take it pretty easy on gear changes, hope you enjoy!

I am using this host tempararily until my ftp gets sorted out, shouldn't be long
