20B in an FD

can someone give me some numbers on a 20B? like 0-60 in how much? weight of the engine? NA/Turbo?
Also, were they ever made as NA because just about everyone i know with an FD has blown their turboes at least once and i don't wanna hafta fix a 20B with blown turbos because it sounds like it would cost a fortune?

What does this do to the weight balance and handling of the car? Sloppier?

The 20B conversion isn't a bolt-on kit, it's a custom process. Think of it like a Harley motorcycle - every one is different. Therefore, the weight of the engine depends on how you build it, and the speed and handling of the car depends on how you build the car. The best numbers that I can give you are that a 20B will make around 250-1,200 bhp, depending on your setup.

The article on the Pettit Banzai may help:

I'm also moving this thread to the 20B forum, where you can learn more about the 20B.

wow...35g's for the conversion....that's a pretty hefty tag, but i guess it's about right since it's a twin turbo in there too.....

Do you think it's possible to get an 20B NA put into a FD for around 25,000$ CDN

how much less torque will the NA have then the turbo version? or is it better to just take the stock 13B and mod it to hell

For 25k canadian(which is around 16k u.s.), IMHO yes it's better to take the 13B and go to town. Unless you have some very odd use for your car that you simply really do need the 20B vs. 13B to accomplish what you want out of the car. For 16k u.s. I'm not sure how much of a N/A 20B FD car you'd get finished but you would get alot more for your money sticking 16k into the 13B.

well i'm not gonna be doing in hardcore drag racing at a strip or anything...but i want to get a good 380-420, 450 tops so that i can do some street racing, drifting and stuff that i do normaly... chances are i'm probably nt going to goto a circut too often but even if i do, 400HP should be more then enough....

so do u think i could get around that much out of the 13B while keeping it reliable and lasting into the 100 000 miles..because i absolutly HATE gettin engines rebuild

Stick with the 13B for what you want with a single turbo for reliability/safety purposes. You will be able to get the power levels you want with proper tuning and good equipment.

You're not gonna get much more than about 300rwhp without a bridgeport or peripheral port on an N/A 20b and those are considered unstreetable (although people do drive them on the street, expecially bridgeports).
And an N/A 20b will cost more than a turbo 20b to put in. How you upgrade the engine itself will make a difference, but they're both expensive.
