20B Engine manual

Is there a 20B engine manual available at all to help with rebuilding one? Even some diagrams would be a good start.

Any links or info greatfully recieved.
Thank you
Lee

Rebuild specs are the same as a 13b.

Okay.. Cool .. But there are a couple of bits on the exterior that are not familiar to me as I am used to a 13b in and FD and this 20B has old style electronic ignition, a lot of auxillaries missing and the water filler housing on the front of the motor has some weird top on with what looks like a vac line that I have never seen before! Trying to figure out how to get it off before I force it and break something!

Can I assume most of the 13B auxillaries will fit if they are the same base?

Cheers

By the way. I don't suppose you have a build thread for your FD conversion?

Cheers

20B is closer to an s5 T2 or Cosmo 13B-RE engine in terms of its accesories, sensors, etc

Not till it's done (which should be in the next couple months! FWIW doing what I'm doing isn't going to be easy. I'll just leave it at that. The front cover info I already gave on another thread.

What about tension bolt torqu specs? I would assume they are a little different since they are longer(at least the rear ones that go all the way through to the front).

Most here just use the 13b torque specs. Make sure you do the back and it's corresponding front right after each other. I start at 10lbs then 20lbs then finally 31lbs.

Question: if you build the engine from the thick plate out, once you stack the middle and rear rotors and drop on the rear plate, how tight do you torque the regular length (13B) tension bolts before flipping it over to add the front rotor and all the other tension bolts (long and short)?

^ I just start low at 10lbs. Then I install the front and torque to 10lbs. Remember 10lbs is such a low number you can't warp anything on this engine. Then I'm back and forward 20-31lbs.
