20B After A 20B
Plain and simple. What I mean by this is if a 20B is already installed into an FD or what have you for some oddball price totalling around $30K, then once that 3 rotor runs outta ummmmph...how much will it cost to swap in another 20B?

Not much at all. A complete used 20B in decent condition sells for $2-4K. You could rebuild the 20B yourself for about $1,200, or have a professional shop rebuild it for about $3K. The turbos would cost extra, of course.

To swap a stock engine in? Not much... if you do it yourself that is... If you need it rebuilt, it costs some cash for that....
I'd say that you could easily get a 20b for $3000 if you look around. Labor on installing, I wouldn't let anyone charge me more than, ****, I dunno... 5 years ago, I paid $600 for a motor swap... so maybe $1000, I have no clue.
But, its not going to be any more than havine a mazda reman (or any other reman or rebuilt 2 rotor for that matter) put in... or, well, it shouldnt be. But some places see "20B" and think "$$$$$$$$$$$$$$"

Lol mike, getting all techincal now haha. Okay I guess that makes sense. So how many miles on average does the 20B make aorund? I mean you are more than likely pushing it more than say a 13B (which is why you do the swap in the first place) so that would mean less overall mileage, but then again there are 3 rotors splitting up the work instead of 2 so that might cancel it out somewhat. I dunno...that's why I'm asking .

If we can't find a supplier in the states, maybe the Aussies can hook us up (I like their conversion rate anyhow )

they sell the gasket set 8AJ1-10-271A, you dont really need it though except fot the intake gaskets. you can use 3 fd exhaust gaskets. the intake gaskets are
NF01-13-111A and NF01-13-112A. the only other thing is that the stock 20b uses different apex seals and springs than everything else, ZR03-11-C00 and ZR03-11-C04?, ZR03-11-C06?. i dont know what the difference is they are still 2mm 3pc 13b seals, maybe the 20b has a different finish on the rubbing surface of the housing?? i looked into building one up in stead of getting a used one. mazdacomp also lists a new short block NF01-02-200 it lists for over $7000

With two street cars making the same hp, the one with more displacement (ie 20b) will make the power with less stress.
It would be really nice to make 450rwhp on a daily basis on 91 octane pump gas with a 20b.
