20b for sure. Just learn to port it and modify it. You are posting on a forum full of people that can help.

Sorry, don't need to buy one of yours, have one sitting on my stand that I'm rebuilding. Just thought it was funny that somone wanted to buy yours for $500 more than your spent. I know shipping costs would be stupid from Kuwait.

But to be honest with you, the 2JZ is a pretty sweet engine. Making really big hp on it is going to cost you a bottom end and stroker kit (on top of turbo setup, fuel system, etc.) If you can do any of the work yourself I'd go with a 20B. Porting isn't that bad, there are plenty of pages here that will walk you through it. As far as internals, there are race bearings, cooling mods, and dowling (or studding) discussed on this forum. Either way, both 20B's and 2JZ's are very good engines so it's just a matter of what you want to do. I'd take a 20B FD anyday over almost anything.

Not as much as you would think. Quite the opposite actually. You'll find that a 2jz in a rx-7 will be very hard to work on with limited space, while a 20B is lighter, as fast if boosted equally, and has a better curve and throttle response. Also, you can port it for more horsepower without boring the pistons, which will change compression ratios AFAIK. 20B is the way to go all around. Look for a 20B swap thread around here, you will find one.
