wtf happened to my gsl-se
i was driving down the road at 45 mph in 4th gear. i went to accelerate to go around a truck and all the sudden the engine miss-fired(or what seemed to be a mis fire) i let off the gas and it continued to decelerate. i tried the gas again and the same thing happened. i was like WTF. so i puleld over to the side of the road and turned the fuel pump off and cranked it, no luck. i turned it back on, no luck. i decided to pull the plugs and look, they were black(looked like they had been flooded with oil) i cranked it and i heard/felt the compressions(so thankfully it isn't a blown seal). i decided to check the fuel rail b/c i had been havin problem with the pulsation stopper, they kept leaking so i had takin it off and put a bango fitting on. it worked great. i cranked it over with the intake off jsut to be sure it wasn't leaking. it wasn't. i checked for spark by taking each plug out and setting it on the side of the car and cranked it, i was getting spark. so now i'm thinkin i might have goten bad gas or something, i donno. what else could be wrong. i am baffled. i cranks over but the revs don't jump around like it's trin to start. whats wrong? any ideas? it's a 84 gsl-se with a 88 13b in it.
thx for the thoughts

if you live were its hot and you buy cheap gas (any thing but cheveron, shell, texeco) you may have experinced a "vapor lock" i just moved to albq NM from va and the **** happened to me and i freaked 2 but my car started like 30min. later i still use 86 octane but i buy it from cheveron and it hasn't happened since. or it could be a clogged fuel filter.

you got spark on all 4 plugs?
if the tach doesnt jump..... its the ignition........ maybe..... IGNITOR?!
check one top plug, and one lower plugs... just pull the wire and use a spare plug...
laters...
