WOW!... what a difference. Good and Bad news

Well, first the good news, then the bad.

Today my struts got here, and I installed the rear shocks/springs. Tockico Illumina 5ways w/ RB rear springs. Took her for a drive, and damn, what a difference. Set at 1, the car is so comfortable to drive on the crappier roads, and set at 3, its perfect for sprited driving, and for tearing it up on the flat, perfectly paved roads, 4 or 5 is heavenly, so much more stable and predictable than before. (stock springs/shocks... old). I cant even imagine how it will be when i get the front suspension done (also stock, with bushings that are barely there anymore).

my coilovers didnt show up today, so hopefully tomorrow i'll be able to start on the front (Ground Control Coilovers, Tockiko Illuminas, RB Swaybar, and J Oliver R&P Kit... when i can actually buy one). Speaking of all that, can we buy the R&P Kit yet, because i'm certianly ready for it, the better rear suspension really gave me more hatred for my sloppy *** steering.

And the bad:
Saturday night, after 11 hours of work, i walk out of the store, and head off to the parking lot, i spy my car, and see my drivers seat flipped forward, this triggers my thinking... "hmm, i didnt leave it like that". Turns out, Thieves broke in the passenger side, fucked up the lock and the door surrounding the lock. Stole the Blaupunkt Stereo and my Infinity Kappa 6x9" that i had in the hatch, they also broke the stereo surround, the left the amp and the front Kappas. Oh well, at least they didnt take the car.

Ironic isnt it how only last week did my place of employment get approved for a budget for parking lot security (cameras + rent a Cop)... it just wasnt in place yet, and they arent allowed to reimburse me for what was taken.

so, i guess you have to take the good with the bad... oh well.

the rent a cop can be a mixed blessing, over hee in Oz, rent a cop means rent a thief! at my work more stuff was stolen whent he rent a cop security guard was there than when he wasnt,

asnd when i was living in Sydneys CBD during the 3 years i lived there, not 1 car on our street was broken into or stolen. 1 Night, a shopfront about 20 mtrs away hired a security guard to stand in the street while work wwas being done to the shop (new doors). That 1 Night, my blaupunkt stereo was stolen, and 4 other cars were broken into. i spoke to the guard in the morning, he claims he didnt move all night, and saw no one. no he didnt see anyone, just looked out for his thief mates! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR (my car was parked in his direct line of sight)

Why did you leave a speaker laying out in the open like that?

I just put new Kappas in all four corners, plus a cheap headunit. I'm always cautious about leaving my car parked and my CD collection out in the open; theives thrive on that sort of thing.

Never trust rent a cops. I had to pay $70 a year back in high school and all I got was a keyed car and the school administrators jacking me around.

yeah, i'm normally not a very tolerant person, but for some reason, i had absolutely no reaction when this happened... other than "****, that sucks". Even the managers at work were appalled that i was as functional and rational as i was when it happened. However, if i was able to spend time with the people that did it, someone would be leaving for the ICU, and i can tell you it wouldnt be me.

the speakers werent lying in the open, they were in boxes, tucked under the rear valence, if you looked, you could see the grilles.
