Are those strut spacers necessary to have when you lower your car? I'm looking to go with a 1.5" drop within the next few months...... (is that too much of a drop or should I go further?)

They are a spacer that goes between the strut housing and control arm. The spacer brings your roll center back to the stock position. This eliminates extreme roll center movement and provides more predictable turn-in. Basically it is 2 spacers and 4 extended grade 8 bolts. Mazda Motorsports sells them for $70.00. I have seen them for $100.00 at other suspension sites!

I pasted this from earlier in the thread. Anyway, 1.5" is not to bad. My race car is in the 2-3" range! The spacers are a must in my case!

Oh yah, $55.00 plus shipping on these. I should have them in approx. 2 weeks. I am having 10 pairs made up.

I will let you know. I am actually making a fiberglass hood first for my race car then some carbon hoods. I can make a fiberglass hood just as light and I am going to be painting it so no reason to spend the extra money on the carbon when it will be painted over!
