Work car

I am thinking about being a 94 honda perlude, it's got a power sunroof, something i wish my rex had, cruise control and various other nice options. Anyone roll hondas out there? I need a reliable car for college and , the last owner of my rx beat the hell out of it, and I'm getting a deal on it. Any ideas or comments would be appreicated.

Thanks

if you leave a honda stock, and do regulat tune ups and what not. they'll last for ever.

it would be a good work car.

i belive they will fit if you have a GSL-SE or done the suspention swap. i think they have a 4x114 bolt patteren not to sure. my frined had a 92 lude. i'll have to ask him.

if they are the 4x114 the only other thing you might have a problem with is its a FWD car. so they might have a funky off set for a RWD car.

A friend of mine had a 94 lude Si, nice little car, it had decent get up and lots of luxury features. I don't know if it was the way he drove it or shitty mechanics or a combo of the two, but he would spin bearings or blow a rod after having a new motor in for only a few weeks. I think he went through three before he tossed the car into a ditch. It's a nice parts car now.

Hondas are great daily driver/work cars, they take a lot of abuse, are pretty reliable, and parts are usually keep for them.

I abused my 92 Accord for 40k miles over 18 months before some ******* hit it. I crashed it, neglected it, and loved it in its own way. Dealership told me I'd need a new water pump within a month or two. That was well over a year ago. Just wouldn't stop running. Great beaters Hondas are.

cool, I'm only paying $300 for it, half of it I am going to work off for the people, they own a restuart, so I am going to have to come up with $150. It's got 73 or 74k on it and hasn't been driven in a year or two. The guy just wants to get rid of it. I'm having problems getting it started, would it be safe to use ether on a fuel injected car? any hints for getting it started? I'm not too familar with fuel injection, but if it was carbed I'd just pour a little gas down the carb, but i am at an lost with fuel injection.

Check for spark, fuel, and compression like on any car, then go from there. Ether is spossed to be safe for any gasoline powered engine. If you find you need something on that car, I can get you parts from my friend's car.

If it doesn't start, my money is on the timing belt. Those honda's need replacements at about 70K miles, almost like clockwork. That may be why it hasn't ran in t a couple of years.
