Wont start issue?
OK...ive had this engine for about 2 years in my kitchen(yes im single) finally got it in my car i have a holley carb setup and rb header...i put it in timing (lining the flat side of the flywheel with the side of the block looking throught the inspectation plate by the exhaust side...and i lined the dizzy uop and ive checked it 100 times...everythign is in time(even used the wire test through the spark plug holes)....but it simply wont start itll pop if i pump it gas...and hold it half way to the floor...and if it does start it idles at 2krpm...and stumbles a little...ive bought new gaskets thinking maybe its having such a hard time starting cuz the gaskets are leaking(even though they were new)...i have new plug wires, plugs, cap and rotor, ive checked my ignitors(they work), ive checked my compression(which it was great cuz its a brand new motor),...im so confused why it wont start...ive towered over forums, books, webpages, pdf's, and asked a local mechanic that works on 7's(he owns a few himself)....so wats the deal with my car...

Start by checking for vacuum leaks and fuel supply. Will it start/run better if you pour a little gas down the carb, sure it's not been flooded and washed the housings clean, thereby loosing the needed compression?
Since it's a new engine, it may need a little help building starting compression, pour a cap full of oil/Seafoam down each barrel of the carb to help build compression.

Plugs must be clean and dry. I always kept a 1/2 dozen or so fresh clean plugs on hand when dealing with flooding issues. Any that had fouled, I bead blasted then cleaned with brake cleaner and compressed air. A wire brush with brake cleaner and air drying can achieve favorable results too.
Turn the fuel pump off, (pull the fuse), pull the plugs and clear the raw fuel from the housings. The add the oil to the carb, install fresh plugs and crank the engine. Once the engine begins to fire, turn the pump back on.
