won't run
Ok to start off I was comming home from school yesterday when the car started to stall I started it up and it stalled again, then I pulled into a parking lot. At first I thought, well maybe it is overheating and it's shutting itself off, well that proved wrong when the car cooled down, I then thought that the car was flooding but I could not smell any gas, I checked the plugs and they were dry, and then I tightened them because they were loose. I think I might have an extremely clogged filter or something or maybe the injectors are cloged and I will try and check it soon.
If anybody has had this problem before or can help please do. Thanks!!!

It's a 13B and the plugs look like they are in pretty good condition. The are the ones with the four bars around the electrode. When I tried to start it they were dry after I pulled them leading me to believe that the fuel filter was bad or pump.
Right now I am trying to find the fuel filter. I looked around the gas tank and can't find anything that looks like the plastic replacement part. I found something that looks like a regulator or something.

confusion
I found something in the location of the Hayes manual. It is a metal cylinder mounted by a metal bracket with a hose leading from both ends. It looks nothing like my replacement so I think I got the wrong one. After I looked at my car I decided to try and start it. It turned over with nothing happening as usual, but I started to smell gas. I sniffed the tailpipe and smelled gas slightly. The only thing I can think of to do now is to get a new filter and check the plugs.
I don't think the plugs being bad would cause the car to all of a sudden stop and not start. It was running strong before this happened.

The metal cylinder probably is your filter. The plastic replacement is actually better 'cause you can see the condition of the filter, where as you can't with the metal one obviously.
Turn the key on after you've replaced the filter and watch to see if the ilter fills with fuel, and listen for a clicking from the pump.

You might not hear the pump with just the key on in any thing newer than 83. I had an 85 12a and the pump would not turn on untill you actually turned the motor over. So if you turn on the key and nothing happenes, try having someone turn it while you listen.
