i was looking at my wiring harness the other day, its 80%, and its getting time to finish it.

with mine i took the stock harness unwrapped it, took out the 3 wires i wasn't using, put it back.

so now its time to really clean up the routing and wrap it

Thats the hardest part, routing it so it looks good. I really wish I had the time to do it the way i want, Mil-spec connectors and all that good jaz....

Did my old integra like that so I have all the tools, maybe if i get a cleaner chassis i will do her right, this one is going to be my summer daily

lmao! our race car is an integra, we're reshelling it right now too....

new one is a 99 Rs coupe, full cage, spherical bearing control arms, adjustable uppers, its all spherical in the rear. synchrotech trans, etc etc. we're reusing the LS motor from the last car.

why is the LS/vtek swap so cool? we did run a GSR engine for a while, its much faster!

we used to run honda challenge so we were limited to the LS engine, but now we're running PT/TT so we can run anything we want

Nothing cool about the ls really, its already sleeved and ready to go. It's mated to a b17 head. I want to get into that kind of racing, I have mostly dabbled in autocross.

ah ok, cause everyone does it, and we can't figure out why....

road racing is fun! just remove front swaybar, and buy a bigger one in the rear.....

When you stripped the harness down, did you completely remove the emissions control unit and all the wiring with it ? I ask because I am doing basically the same thing. I look at it and it intimidates the **** out of me.

Here are the only real progress pics that I have. I'm still waiting on my front cover o-ring from mazdatrix and I just remembered (again) that i forgot to order a rear main seal

...

I wanted to paint my engine white and black. So i did.

...

Paint didnt stick good enough... but thats actually ok. I hated the look of white and black.

...

Stripped it and re-cleaned, its staying natural color.

...

There is a pic of my trans after I wire wheeled the bell housing. I like it I think im either just going to clean the rest of it good and leave it, or paint it black...

I just sold my bike... This Saturday I'm making a 590 mile round trip to Cincinnatti, OH to pick up an 85' GSL from a forum member. Pretty excited about that too!
You can't just take everything out, including the engine, and call it a "wire tuck" - that's called a "roller" I KID, i kid - looking great and I'm stoked to see how things turn out! I've been following your build for a while

I'm curious what you used to strip down the paint on the block. Previous owner of my ride sprayed the engine black. But not the entire engine - just the top.... ahhh jeez. I'm going to be either painting it or taking it down to metal when I do my EFI setup here in the next month, looking for some tips.

Did you just wire wheel the whole thing? Use a power drill or something else?

SiRMarlon - Nice job on the CRX tuck! Those Hondas look so badass tucked! Definitely my inspiration.

Any updates to this build? I'm working on doing a wiring tuck to my current TII swap right now and remembered this build.

Whats the best recommended way to simply tuck the wires in your bay? Also what is all the wiring you can take out including ac, radio etc? Im just trying not to take anything essential out and its my 1st rx

A wire tuck is not simple, possibly one of the more complex modifications you can do.

You will need to determine for yourself which solenoids and relays can be kept or removed, based on your build goals, and you will need to read through all of the factory wiring diagrams and understand how the system is tied together. The diagrams are available at http://www.foxed.ca

I tucked the remainder solenoid bundle under my dash, and routed the harness through The drivers side fender
