check the combo switch connections behind the steering wheel, could it also be a fuse? I hade a similar thing happen except it was when i rewired my combo switch i would try to turn on the headlights and the wipers would go then if i hit the horn it would spray my windshield. turns out i just had some wires crossed though i still can't get my headlights to work lol

Verify that the wiper motor is not binding. Take the wiper arms off and loosen the nuts underneath and see if the rack starts to move.

Yea, what rx7doctor said. Mine were corroded badly after the car had sat idle for many years. It took me many hours of cussing and a lot of PB Blaster to free them up but now they work perfectly.

found and fixed the problem today...seems some mice who were living in my rx-7 during it's storage years chewed through the wires. I hope they got electricuted.

Interesting. My right hand wiper arm mount siezed up from sitting. had to take the whole unit out and fight with it for a long time. finally got it worked loose.

Note: Beware the white harness connectors if they have been in alot of heat. Mine started to crumble apart just touching them. Same with the "T" in the washer hose under the cowl panel.

Later,
Bill
