Windshield wiper problems

Ok guys here is the problem...

I started to rx7 up this morning so that I could get her warmed up for apple blossom(oh yeah baby). When I started to drive off the rain started to come down. No big deal my sweet little ride is equipped with windshield wipes , Unfortunatley they would not turn on. So I drove 10 miles before I got to my destinaltion without windshield wipers. Once I got to my location I checked all the fuses thinking that it might have blown the windshield wiper fuse...no such luck.

Anyone have any advice on where to look. Both windshield wipers are not working and this is why I initailly thought that it was a fuse problem. Is there 1 motor for both windshield wipers are is there one for each. All my other peripherals are working so it is specifically localized to just the wipers.

My car is a 84 GSL-SE

Thanks,
~Z

yes, one motor for both wipers. take off the cover and try hooking up power directly to the wiper motor to see if it works. if it works when you put power to it its probably in the combo switch, if it doesnt your motor is probably shot. pm me if you need a wiper motor, i have some xtras laying around.
