Will 225/50ZR15 tires fit on a FB?

I've come across a deal on some 225/50ZR15 tires. Will they fit on a FB with 15x7 rims, or are these tires too wide and will rub? Thanks!!

Depends on the Offset. From my understanding, on a GSL-SE (I dunno about the 12A cars) is that 205's are the max up front, and maybe 215 in the rear.

GSL-SE offset at 40mm would rub 225's raw within a day or two...

Yea I wouldent recomend anything larger than 205's. YOu could roll the fender lips a bit and maybe fit 215's. But dont think it would be worth the time.

I had to flare the front fender lips to fit the 205's (hi-po low profiles, square profile) without chewing away the outer shoulder of the tire during spirited cornering...

Many moons ago I ran 205/50-15s on the front and 225/50-15s on the rear, stock ride height, GSL, Enkie 15x7s, cant remember the offset. The rears would rub every once in a while......ended up leaving cuts on the side walls in some areas.

I run 205/50/15'2 and havent had a single tire rub issue. H ave made it to 2 auto-x's since I got the tires and havent had a problem yet.

225/50/15s on Wed Autobahn in back
. On the '80 with RB springs and rolled fenderlip...no problems
. On the '84, stock goofy springs that have the butt way too high, some scraping with big bumps,,,with the RB springs installed (this weekend's project...), I know I'll have to roll the fenderwell lips again, but I don't know if I'll get the same results as the '80....I would think so, however...

Simplified:

on the back, no problem.

on the front, not unless you've done some work.

I should have mentioned that the car is a GSL-SE.... sounds like it helps a little, but the tires are still too wide for anything but 205 front, 215 rear unless I roll the fender lips .. which I do not plan to do.
