lol....the choke should not have had time to release with my morning routine tip...I let it run just long enough to load up reading material for work, snack/drink for the kid and put out the mail. When I get in to stop it, the choke is still engaged. With my foot on the gas pedal, I push in the choke manually and keep the engine revving with the gas and then let it stop from about 2000 rpm....I then go in, make sure he's dressed/finished eating, clean up the kitchen a little and it's time to go, 20 minutes or so from the previous start-up. WITHOUT engaging the choke, I start the car, set the choke and no more problems....if it is popping out too early, try the cheapo "nickel, dime, or penny" trick....just stick one of those items to hold the choke **** in the dash open until you're ready to kill the choke....

Get starter spray in the can for those bad moments like you mentioned above....just soak the air cleaner element and that should be good enough to start her again...

Nice tip on the ignitor tune-up...it's been what? 22 years since they were installed....You just KNOW some kind of corrosion or build-up has been working its way in after all those years...
