if it's a corolla gts then the 7 would loose in a straight line without a queastion. Ae86 gts~2240lbs 115hp (us spec) FB 2338lbs 100hp. When it comes to turns though the 7 would smoke it, my buddy had an ae86 and the 7 would dust it around turns when the rolla would try and follow but have serious body roll.

Gerbraldy, the times were posted earlier. The 86 gets 10/18s while the seven gets 9/17s or 8/16s depending on if it were an SE.

Does anyone know where to get slalom times?

It's a Toyota Corrolla GT-S (AE86 Chassis), not a Trueno.

The SR-5 is still an AE86 and still twincam if memory serves, just carbed..

The FB won the 0-60 / 1/4 mile because I beleive the stock Corrolla has numerically lower gearing. The two cars are actually so god damn like the same that when you say, "You want ice cream?" they both say yes. They both are cheap (well both were cheap before Initial D) cars that made great low budget race cars. The difference is, the rolla was the end of an era and the 7 was the begining.

Couple weeks ago, 2 younger guys in a very clean GTS rolled up beside me at a traffic light. I can't remember who was first to get out the words "nice car, don't see many looking that nice anymore".
Then the guy on the passenger side asked if I wanted to sell mine..................

Oh, does it really matter which was faster? They were both pretty typical for cars their size, even though they shared very little, and had their own fans. Kinda like they still have their own following, even today.

I would say the 86 due to the fact at high speed the 7 has some "wondersteer" problems and the 86 is a bit faster and it handles fairly good for an older car like ours. Personaly i was going to pick me up an 86 go panda and trueno badges, Fujiwara Tofu Shop sticker!!!!!!!

Wulff is right. It really doesn't matter which is faster, especially since these cars are SO old that no two are really in the same condition because they've aged differently.
