NEw user- First rx7 - need help

Just joined, i recently got an 85 gs, the apex seals on the engine are blown, i have another 12a engine that needs to be thrown into the car to get her running

i dont know much about cars or rx7 motors.

wondering if anyone is near the kansas city area and would like to make some extra cash helping me get this engine in?

any replys are appreciated

First of all, welcome to the club.

Get yourself a Hayne's manual, it'll let you do almost any task to the car on your own, without help.

Of course, a rotorhead get-together is always nice

basically i want to find someone to close to kc who knows what they are doing with an engine swap so i can learn first hand.

i would love to know more ebout working on rotary engines, these cars are a blast and i cant wait to get this thing back on the road

The first engine swap I ever did was on my 7. Very simple really. Just remember, do the simple maintenance while the engine is out. Replace heater hoses, change the oil pan gasket, etc. Would be a good time to upgrade the starter power wire and the main ground also.

go to the www.mazspeed.com site, there is a guy over there from Olathe. I can't remember his user name. I would have helped you when I lived in Topeka, but I am in OKC now, sorry.
