Who has classic car insurance?

I want to set up classic car insurance but was reading that if you dont have a good driving record then you might not get accepted. Does anyone have calssic car insurance and has a not so good driving record?

I have classic issurance through American Collectors. If this is your daily driver you will not be able to get it. It's only $90 for the year but you have conditions to meet.
Must be in a locked garage
Limited to 3000 miles per year
Can only be driven to meets/shows or a Sunday drive

You get to have an agreed upon value of the car. Mine is agreed at $5000.

All the info I have, but I do have a spotless recourd and have a daily driver. I just gave them all the info I had on the car (i.e condition, picture, what coverage I wanted and mileage)

Oh, 85 GSL-SE 155,000 miles

My MGB has classic car insurance. The only restriction I know of is that I can't drive it over 2500 miles per year. Can't remember the price, but I have a good driving record.

I have it on my policy with Nationwide. It does not have any restrictions and the rate is based on declared value of the car.

I went thru Hagerty Insurance. They specailize in insuring collector's cars. If you have another car as a daily driver, it's a good deal. Mine is insured for $7500 replacement value for under $200 a year. That includes full coverage (Liability, comprehensive and collision)with $0 deductable! If you only drive your car a few thousand miles a year, this is for you.

Well, if you were down right dishonest and thinking of your bottomline, you could always disconnect the speedo cable at the tranny and drive as many miles as desired! However, if you were in a accident, you would probably want to re-connect it before anyone noticed it, its not brain surgery.

I am not concerned with the milage how will they know anyways do you have to photo the current milage yearly? I am more concerned with them saying no due to my driving history.
