Who else has this setup?

I'm trying to get some sort of comparison in performance, and since in order to evalaute something you have to have something to compare it to, the first thing I'd like to know is who has the same setup I have - see signature - or very close, i.e. one item is different, or one aspect of it is different.

I tested my 0-60 the other day. Had a passenger also. My time was (using my cell phone) 9.2 seconds.

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing you should be able to improve that? of course using the cell phone is never that accurate...

You don't mention in your sig the Power Pulse Air Filter Assembly, but I saw in another thread you have it on.

We have very similar setups. I think the only differences is the oil cooler, the clutch (mine is stock) and the carb? is yours stock?

Yeah my carb is stock. I am soon getting a ported intake. That should help some I hope. I am also running pretty rich right now since its so cold. Doesnt want to idle very good when cold and dies constantly until its warned up 100%. Stupid winter time...

Yeah I also have the power pulse intake.

Sig fixed, thanks for reminding me to put it in there.

Its gonn be sent to get the sterling treatment. I am already familiar (sort of) with the nikki so keeping it would be just easier. Learning a whole new carb would (and buying it, etc) would be too much time and money.

I have everything stock except my exhaust and my removed nest (probably STILL did it wrong) and, although I haven't clocked my 0-60 (vandalized FUEL FILTER) it beat a Mustang 6 with a competent driver (I know, oooh, aaaah )

So I would imagine you guy's setups should run faster than a 9.x. . . . .

Tested 0-60 again and it was 9. I need to retard the timing a tiny bit me thinks. I also got my ported intake in the mail (thanks FBII) so I will be trying it out with my rebuilt carb. I will let all know what new 0-60 is.

No idea. lol. The timing was all messed up. I have played with it quite a bit and found a happy medium so to speak. Also I read in the general automotive thread that an 83 rx-7 does 0-60 in 9.5. So, I only lost roughly half second with all these mods? I mean, granted the carb on there now is not awesome, but it still runs great. I will definately update this. What 0-60 are you getting cdrad51? It would be nice to be able to beat my daily driver. The '00 protege ES (mine is '01 LX - same engine) is said to have 0-60 time of 8.9. That info was off the same thread as rx-7 time.

Well I haven't measured it yet, and don't trust the cellphone clock method. I'm getting an old Gtech for 40 bucks, and will measure 0-60, 1/8 and 1/4 mile with it. Hopefully I can beat 9 secs on the 0-60.

Hey man, 1/2 sec is alot. One step at a time. As for the timing, I can understad the dilima. Mine has no mark whatsoever I am left with the ear and not knowing what one sounds like when it is running right was ALL guess work. Test and tune for awhile.

I have almost that exact setup, except with a RB Holley setup. I've got a Sterling on order tho. Expect to run 14's in the 1/4 with a properly tuned carb. Check sig.

Cool. Have you done any runs with your current setup and if so, what are your times?

Hey, I don't have that setup at all, but I would think you'd be faster than 9 sec 0-60. I'm under 7, but I would think the stock 12A was 8 or 9 ???

Stock 1985 GSL was suposedly 9.9.

We'll see what I can do tomorrow when I get the Gtech.

You seem to have a nice setup.
