Where are the wires?

Hello group,
I have an 85 FB that has had the engine pulled and a bunch of wires ripped out.
Can you tell me where to connect the sensor wires for oil pressure and temp.
if you have a photo that would be great.
I have looked in the archives and tried a couple searches.
thanks JEB

Water sensors - one on the back of the water pump housing the drives the auto-choke and one below the oil filter that drives the gauge. The oil pressure is the mushroom shaped sensor below the oil filter and slips on sideways.

That is helpful Kanas. I have the sensor, yet the wires are missing. I am looking to find the plug that I run the sensor wires to.
Do you know where the wires go so that the gauges will once again work?
Thank you JEB

The two sensor wires you are looking for are the last ones that leave the wiring harness, along with one for the little capacitor on top of motor. They all come out of the small end of the stock harness, right there by the oil pedestal.

The harness is like a vine that starts at a big connection block on pass side firewall, right under the washer fluid and cold start bottles. It is normally under a black rubber boot that's sorta triangular (the block underneath is rectangular though). Here's the block...

And here it is under the rubber cover in its stock location.. Note - that black can on the right is normally the cold-start tank location.

That block has about 35 wires coming out of it that connect to all sensors, contacts, etc under your hood. The rat's nest is about 2/3 of those wires! When I removed my rats nest I unraveled the harness and took out all unnecessary wiring...

But I left all the sensor wires in place. I still have the *Oil pressure * Water temp * RFI capacitor * Oil low level sensor * Alternator * Choke temp sensor & 2 others that look important. I now have a total of 10 wires in my wiring harness and all my gages and warning sensors still operate correctly. There are 3 more that I'm not using and could pair it down to 7 essential wires (two for the choke temp sensor and one I think went to the stock nikki).

SO, what the hell am I babbling about? Those sensors of yours should wire back to the correct pins on the harness-connection-block on the passenger side firewall. Im not going to pull my car apart to tell you which ones, but that's where they go, and that block connects them to the inside harness that connects to your dash board gauges.

They are part of the "rats nest" wiring. Like said above, the passenger side main harness has these wires.

Can you post pics of your harness? You can find the Factory Service Manuals here. Foxed.ca. It will show the hardness and connections.
