"the rear spoiler is the only thing I'm on the fence about."

Well, sorry, but I would not be on the fence. I am an aeronautical engineer, and I have always thought that the spoiler fad is ridiculous. I would never be seen driving a car with a spoiler because too many of my friends are aerodynamicists, and they would laugh at me. They spoil the lines of a nice looking car.

There are a few rare exceptions for which the spoiler actually is functional, like the whale tail on certain 911s, which were installed to solve a cooling problem.

But if most of your friends are teenagers, go for it!

I know it seems crazy..but the IMSA spoiler you could purchase from the factory actually reduces the drag coefficient. Really doesnt look like it would....but it does!

So is the jury still out on whether or not they are 240z flares?

I'm getting a ton of dissenting opinions. Most point to the "240z" in the article, but since I don't read Japanese, who knows what that means.

I would really like to know for sure though.
