Where does it go

Stupid question 796. There is a 1/2" diameter nipple coming of the back of the water pump. What does it hook to? Herb

It is not supposed to be there. A choke switch is. Hmm, got a 1/2" (actually 5/8" I think) hose and a cap or something to block it off? Or maybe the correct choke switch?

I have no idea how that can be. This is the original housing for my SA22 and I've owned since new.

I have an early production 1979 and I just validated that mine has the choke switch. That nipple is not correct.

Thanks for the verification. Now all I need to know is what the thing looks like and the part number. I can't find it in the parts manual. Can anyone help?

Well that answers that question. I mixed up the sender on the oil pan with the sender on the water pump housing.

So questions breed questions. Do I have the correct sensors in the correct holes in the oil pan? I presume the long sensor is a temp sensor. Does it go in the upper hole or the lower hole?
