Where does this connect?

Its located below the oil cooler and is a grey wire. IT comes out of the oil pressure (mushroom type thing under the cooler) one wire connects near the bottom of the engine toward the front, this one tails off about midway and seems to go nowhere. Please help!!!

If memory serves me correct (it hasn't recently, so take this with a grain of salt), it connects to a spade connector on another wire. Either that, or it connects to the factory oil pressure sender unit.

either the water T sender, or uh...damn can't remember the name...uh...one of them silver bullet looking things, that even out currents. like the ones used to diminish the static sound of the stereos, there's one near the distributor, but i believe this one is for the oil pressure stabilizer....hope that's clear enough

So where is the oil pressure stabilizer at? Is it the gold mushroom looking thing under the cooler? That has a wire going to it.

I will look near the distrib tomorrow.

i just called it that because i don't know the name, but here's a pic (second picture)
https://www.rx7club.com/1st-generation-specific-1979-1985-18/can-someone-id-please-825210/

right beside the big mushroom looking thing (oil pressure sender) is your water Temperature sender, which uses a similar connector, so that may be it also.

Thanks, Ill look for something like that. Here are a couple more pics. Looks like it comes from under the cooler, one orange wires go to the mushroom looking thing, another orange to a round piece that comes out of the block just to the left of the mushroom. These two grey wires with orange dots come out of the same bunch. One goes toward the bottom front of block anc connect to a white connect, this one Y's off and has the little butterfly connect on it.

Can't see the wire colors, but it probably goes to the condenser. It is a 1" long silver cylinder. It's stock position is attached to one of the bolts holding the inspection plate on the top of the engine (near the firewall). I believe radio noise suppression is it's only job. I usually don't put them back on after I rebuild an engine.

I dont think it will reach the top of the engine. Its coming from below the oil cooler and hanging down in the fender well area.

There are two similar wacky connectors near each other. If you have a rectangular connector with a slot on the side (not yours, but I'm getting there), it slides across the top of the oil pressure sender (copper mushroom) under the oil filter pedestal. Right next to that is the coolant temp sender, which uses a bullet connector. It threads into the block and has a single copper stud that sticks out to be connected to. Feel down under the oil pedestal and you'll find the coolant temp sender. Your wire goes there.

that wire goes to (i believe) the oil temp sender at the oil pan. it is on the left side of the oil pan and is the sender on the pan closest to the firewall. there is no such thing as an oil stabilizer. the though of that is just ridiculous, lol. the coolant temp sender wire is yellow with red striping and has a female bullet connector type end. and the oil pressure sender wiring is brown with yellow stripe and has a female blade connector end. here is a pic of the oil pressure sender and coolant temp sender wiring for reference:

Confirming that goes to the oil temperature sender on the oil pan, right next to the level sender.

There is a taped set of 4 wires coming around the cooler. Two orange ones break off and go to the mushroom and the bullet thing on the block itself. THe two grey ones come on out and one goes down to a white connect as seen in the pic above that goes to the bottom front of block. The other is the one I dont know. I dont think it is long enough to make it to the oil pan.

See the other wire in the harness with the wire you don't know about? The one with the white plugs on the end? Follow it down. That is the oil level sensor. Next to it on the oil pan is the oil temp sensor. That is what it mates with.

Just went and jacked it up to look and the grey that goes to the white connect goes to the front of the oil pan. This is the other grey wire coming out of the same bunch that includes the two orange.

Ignore the blue connectors joining the oil level sender. They are for my premix reservoir.

I swear I do not see anything like that near my oil level sensor. Look at the pic above of my oil level sensor.

Odd. I wonder where your oil temp sensor is then...
