More than likely you'll have to check out the For Sale/Want to Buy section of this forum. Thankfully, my parts guy had a spare headlight motor that came with the linkage and bushings.

I want to say that someone posted that they replaced the plastic bushings with rubber ones they found that fit. They needed greased occasionally IIRC, but that would only take about 1 minute every so often to do.

the arms with bushings are pretty pricey. to my knowledge, the bushings are not available without the arms.

Ouch, that's expensive. I paid only $20 for my headlight motor and it came with all the linkage.

Yep, I had to buy the whole arm from Mazdatrix because one of the bushings broke.

well for that much money you spent, you would have had a set if you bought it from mazdatrix. they are genuine mazda parts and are nice and shiny too

I'm not sure if you needed a short or long headlight rod, but if you need a short one with bushings, here are four of them that I found for you for $16 shipped: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1979-...2649QQtcZphoto
I have bought from Apex Auto a few times and they provide excellent service.
