Temp gauge frenzy

What does your GSL-SE usually sit at reading the stock temp gauge?

Mine will go up to the mark before "H" when I floor it, but then drop back down to a little before the middle when just cruising.

My guess is the gauge is faulty as I know my FC gauges weren't that great, but I'm curious what yours usually read?

it should sit just before the * symbol in the center of the guage

So would it be the sender unit that is flaking out or the gauge?

there is a testyou can do, is to ground the sender (ignition on but not running) if the guage goes to full the sender is working. But if you dont know whether the guage works or not this test may not tell you anythng

DJ, you need to remember that in Canada the guages are different than down here in the US. We don't have the degree mark.

And, WE3RX7, the needle, during normal operating temperatures: the right side of the needle should barely kiss the Thermostat Icon.

During the cold days of the winter, it's not uncommon to see the tip of the needle point to the 1/4 Tank mark on the fuel gauge.
