Where to bolt a harness
while I am well aware as to the danger of bolting a harness to the floor, is it that dangerous to bolt it into the cargo area of a first-gen? I'm looking at using Corbeau classic bucket seats and they're not a particularly tall seat, and I was wondering If I really need a harness bar to mount the harness to. I'm just using my car for daily driving and I have no intention to track/autocross.

if you crash with the belts in the wrong place you will be much shorter.... stick with either the factory belts, or a properly setup harness.

Safety aside, daily driving with a full harness is one of the most inconvenient things ever. Nothing worse than having to un-clip a 5 point just so you can grab your food in a drive thru. I'd do everything possible to find a seat that works with the stock belts if you have no intention of tracking the car. If you insist on a harness, the only way to safely mount it is with a proper bar.
