Wheel Weight List: Weight your wheels with rubber and post them!
Hey Guys,
I'm trying to compile a wheel weight list with rubber on there to help us out save as much weight as possible on the drive terrain. If you could list the rim size and brand, the rubber size and brand, and total weight that would be great.
I'll Kick it off with what I have on hand:
Don't forget to weight stock wheels with different types of rubbers on there too

Instead of mixing apples (wheel weights) and oranges (tire weights), I suggest you refer to some of the on-line databases. This way you can pick light wheels and light tires for the lightest possible combo, or whatever other setup you choose.

I've seen that wheel weights list before but it really doesn't list everything ... and alot of stuff we don't even use. This would be for first gen wheel fitment only. Also this would make it a quick easy reference. I'd like to have chart done up and documented in the archive hopefully.

I have Sumitomo HTR 200 tires all around, with 185/60/13's in front, and 205/60/13'2 in the back.
Stock + wheels with 185/60/13 tires = 26Lbs
Rubber weight = 15.2Lbs
Stock + wheels with 205/55/13 tires = 29Lbs
Rubber weight = 18.7Lbs
These weights were taken with a digital bathroom scale that may be slightly out. Tire weights were taken from the Sumitomo website.

"Black91n/a" just boughtsome 15x9 Kodiak RT rims with the 5x114.3 pattern and they weighed in at 13.2 lb. He said that his are a little bit more beefed up because he had them make more caliper clearance incase he wanted to do bigger brakes than the 4 pots later on.
So my ideal goal of about 12.5lb / rim for my 15x8 isn't that far strech.
Just tossing it out there also that the RT model is the stiffest rim they offer and that in it self would mean abit more weight. I think the FX were the lightest ones but the least strong too.

Okay, according to the websites Elwood listed:
Revolution 13x7 = 10.2 (mine are 13x8)
Sumitomo HTR 200 215/50/13 = 19
So probably a grand total of 29 - 30 Lbs. per wheel...
