What's your preferred road/driving style?

I myself prefer to be alone with my 7, which is why I prefer long windy roads in the country/woods, so that you can enjoy each gear at (almost) any speed/RPM without the hassles of traffic. Thankfully, I live right on the edge of city/country/woods, so I can have access to whatever type of road I want.

Really, I cannot stand city driving, what with all the stop and go, and I'm not a big fan of the straight-line street racing that you'd find in the city. I prefer the twisty roads near me where it has nice curves to cruise around on. And, with hardly any traffic on these roads (during certain times of the day), it makes it easier to enjoy driving my car in any gear at any RPM.

Which do you prefer?

I am the same style except I like occasionally drive with a partner but I prefer alone at most time. I agree with you 85 FB, with the whole city driving. I love to be in the mountain pass of Japan or just about anywhere as long as there are no traffic and construction.

Not to mention the country roads have some nice empty straightaways where if the need arises, you can floor it, WOT.

Windy roads, alone, with some music playing and usually when it's dark outside.

Windy roads FTW +1! My wife usually rides shotgun, she loves the 7, her damn srt-4 is faster, but I win in the cool points area, lol.

Love the windy roads. I don't mind hanging out with people while driving. The wife doesn't like it. My bro's and some friends enjoy it though.

I'm normally by myself though. I enjoy the city as well though. 6 lanes. at 80+ zipping in and out of traffic. I don't do that often but it is fun when you need to get around some people.

For the most part though, give me a country road with the top out and the windows down. A few C-notes for a weekend trip or something.

I personally love the windy country roads beside my house...screw the straight line city stop go traffic...thumbs down to that...I only have one seat in my car, so just me I prefer..haha...hate people bumming rides, no seat=no people...I like the music barely playin, just a nice background, with the roof open, and hearing the exhaust exit nicely through the piping...

i like to be on the high way in 5th gear at about 3000 rpms, sunny or dark, but better dark, with the headlights up, top off, and opening the secondaries once in a while

that sudden jerk as the stearing snaps back
that loud noise as the cars yelling for more
the dizzyness i get from spinning in furious circles

me and a couple of my friends like to do touring runs on our own "route" through the backroads. chasing eachother through never ending turns and hills . I usually run at WOT and shifting at 6-6.5k for the most part, but because of the constanly changing road i usually dont break 80 mph (except for 2 strait roads where i easily maxed out the useless 90mph speedo ). all in all , i just love the rotary sound through an RB exhaust and an open 45mm sidedraft (i know I should use a filter, but c'mon)

you guys are fun. i like the rx community. i also like the winding roads. but its funny when u see someone else on the roads up there too. cuz they would never think a "datsun" could make it up. then they get the suprise when they have to pull over so to let me leave them into the dust too.

I kinda did that on a mountain downhill where it was pretty much a dirt/rock path. I was taking my time when I noticed these kids in their Volvo station wagon, so I got on the gas a bit. Next thing I know, after one turn, couldn't see them. *L* Probably lost in the dust (literarlly!) and the fact that they couldn't handle a tight, winding dirt "road" down a mountain. That was a blast.

maybe they thought you were a jerk with a death wish, so they slowed down to get some distance.

j_tso, there is no reason for you to be rude like that. You were not there, so you cannot automatically assume that the mountain was dangerous and what I did was considered having a death wish. Believe it or not, but some of us actually know how to drive. Scary thought, isn't it? So, I suggest you keep those rude remarks to yourself.

Nice, windy, bitumen road in the daytime, no traffic, country driving. I don't care about the trees, whether I've got a passenger or not, I just love driving around corners...

i like to drive by myself straight lines are ok but i definately prefer the twists and turns. in city i usually cut through residential areas to get home and i usually take mostly windy roads if i can find them. lots of old circles and odd shaped lots if i go through the center of town. i prefer driving at night, but daytime traffic can be fun for 0-60 runs
