Whats this??? This wasnt supposed to be here...

Hi guys, need assistance.

The 81 counterweight looks normal, with its washer

but the 80 counterweight, looks like it has a f....ed up washer or something stuck there...

I havent seen another 80 counterweight before, and haynes does not picture it up close to really see.

Any input is welcome.

You would be right in saying that its f'ed up. The metal on what was the thrust bearing race is spalled something terrible. The motor that was in definitely ate a thrust bearing. See if you can get that thrust washer off, may require some heat and some gentle persuasion with a chisel...

I doesn't look like the thrust washer cause the really messed up needle bearing really messed up the washer too and wore that nasty groove with the flaking and spalling in the washer. It should look like your other one.
