what's up with my oil pressure?

just curious on this one, but my oil pressure used to be much higher.... like 30 at idle to 60 at cruise. now it's 10 at idle and 30 at cruise. it happened one day last year when i washed the engine bay. i figured that it was just the bo-bo spade plug hooked up the the sensor but it's still not how it used to be. its been running great (carb settings aside) all this time, and now the carb is set, i got to wondering. should i have more psi? does it really matter? should i be hunting a new engine? am i paranoid?

since it occured when spraying high pressure water at a sensor I'd say check the sensor wiring.

Sometimes the sensor gets clogged up and messes up the readings. Try taking it off and cleaning it.

Ummm...How do you clean it? I have one that reads MASSIVLY low, and then one that leaks...I dont want to buy another one, so I was hoping to get one of these to work "decently"...Maybe I could just clean the one? The one that reads massivly low actually only reads like 3 PSI at cruise, and nothing lower than that...Then the one that leaks (makes little "oil bubbles" out from around where the wire hooks up) reads like 10 PSI at an idle, and like 25 PSI at a cruise. Im hoping that this is just a sensor problem, cause I really dont want to have to find an oil problem somewhere...
