81 junk car, should I buy?

I found an 81 rx-7 that would not run, on the side of the road. The title and keys were in it I went home and came back later to get it and the police impounded it.

Should I get the car? Are there any parts that can fit on my 84 gsl-se? Will the transmission bolt up to a 13B? Is this a good parts car or should I find a model like mine? The interior is very bad.

Anyway I ended up buying it. I found the carpet in the car to be better than mine was and I like black carpet better, and I am going to use many screws from it.
I really don't want to junk the car and was thinking about putting a v8 in it and dragging it.
