No poll option for my car, garage queen - money pit. By the time this thing is running I bet that I will have 30, 000 dollars into it.

So as I suspected, the earlier poll was misleading, it looks like most of the forum members either use there 7's for daily drivers or keep them in tip top shape as weekend hot rods or well maintained stock garage queens.

But at 110 miles a day, am I really the Daily Driver King on this forum? So far I'm the only one in that category, there must be a few others out there who have discovered that the 1st gen RX-7 is the greatest commuter car on earth?

I'm talking fun and economics, when you rack up those kind of miles you don't want to be taking them off a new car, better to just keep on fixing the 7's. And a well tuned stock GSL (ok, no cats and some other things) is a lot more fun out on the freeway than a honda or corolla.

Ha, Ha, that's a perfectly good category for a 7 owner, I'll be there some day too!

I've had my 82 GSL since day one. No more than a couple hundred miles on it in the last ten years. It's going to become at least an every-other-day driver after I have it painted which is scheduled the first part of May. After it's painted, I'll put on my new Konigs, and start diving it to work. It ought to get better mileage than the Tundra double cab I currently use!
