1980 GS with a '88 j-spec t2 motor....the motor & turbo is all stock with stock boost level....the intake manifold had been stripped of all the emission stuff & was replaced with CNC cut aluminum plates, the throttlebody was also modified....the car runs like a beast, but it needs some body work (not to bad)...i've only driven the car a few times since i did the conversion....

mod list: all "new"parts below have no more than 200 miles on them

*new Aermotive 1000hp fuel pump
*new comp-engineering fuel sump
*new moroso blue aluminum fuel lines,1/2" & 3/8"
*new earls braided fuel lines & fittings ($600+ worth)

*new Black Magic electric fan
*new Mazdatrix 3-row radiator
*new Autometer Ultra lite gauges (silver)

*new 2-MSD HVC coils (expensive)
*new 1-MSD Blaster SS coil (trailing)
*new Racing Beat 2.5" down pipe & pre-silencer
*new 2.5" exhaust system front to back
*new apexi N1 muffler with silencer
*new motor mounts
*new gsl-se oil pan with *new mazdatrix block off plates
*new centerforce dual friction clutch kit
*new brake master cylinder
*new brake booster
*new front brake rotor/hub with *new bearings & seals

*huge NPR intercooler (mounted)
*like new oil cooler with *new mounts (under radiator)
*mint gsl posi rear

I'm 100% sure that i'm leaving out alot of stuff, but this is what i got of the top of my head....
i have ALL the recipets for the above new parts (summit racing,Jegs, mazdatrix, racingbeat & more)
if someone were to recreate this car in its present state, they'll be stepping onto the $10k range and thats without labor....

Maby It's just me... But if I did all that work to my baby... and finally decided to part with it... ID BE DAMNED if I'd sell it to some kid who just got his license and is running around with daddy's wallet. I'd want the car to be enjoyed, not beaten to ****... Not saying that all young drivers beat hooked up cars to ****... But the amount of young drivers beating hooked up cars isn't exactly minimal.

Just my .02

The problem is there are four different values, what
1. it cost to put together
2. the market place price
3. someone will pay for it on the spur of the moment
4. I will sell it for when an offer is made

I reckon my RX7 is worth about Aus$10,000 on the open market, but the other day a car pulled up alongside and the driver shouted I love your car I will buy it for $15,000. Being crazy I turned the offer down inspite of knowing I will never get a better one.

At that time the car looked great, I felt great and the money did not matter. Perhaps on a cold wet day I might have sold. The real question is there anything else I could buy with the money and have the same satisfaction.

Ya know, thats sort of how I feel. However, my bridgeport is lasting a lot longer this time it seems without failures. I'm aiming at 20,000miles this time! LOL!!
