Whats missing in my interior.

I recently has ALL my interior out, and now its all back in, but I'm missing a piece, can someone tell me or post a pic of what should be here? There's also some pics of my interior finished...hows it look?

Whats suppose to be covering this area?

Here's my interior.

On mine, it is a carpet that is attached above in the piece near the window seal....

ya, carpet. also a spare tire keeps the carpet from sinking into that spare tire cavity.

A rubber mat with insulation sits on top of the spare tire and under the rear carpet.

Also there is supposted to be a cover on the very back coming down from the hatch latch. Your interior looks wonderful by the way. Did you just replace items or did you recondition any?

There is a carpet piece that attaches to the rear trim under the hatch, it meets the floor carpet, when the floor carpet has a spare and cover to hold it up. Thes pieces are almost always rotted out from sun exposure, there are a few sources for replacement, check black dragon, they are expensive though.

nice looking interior bud.

I replaced the shift know, and boot, and the ash tray, cause it didn't work (not that I use it thou) Also, the electric gas door opened switch was broken, so I got a new one. And the horn cover.I got them off a car that I paid $250 to have as many parts as I wanted to off a parts 1984 GSL. Ill upload some more pics of the interior. The interior was pretty nasty when I got the car. So I tore it all out (needed to see what type of shape the floor was in aswell).

Here's the interior when I first got it...notice the icky green ****/boot and the dried up seats

Wow that's nicer than mine. If you only had a red leather steering wheel. And that carpet stuff that hangs down in back (I've got one in brown, need the two red ones for my two red ones). Fantastic preservation, thanks for taking car of that car and let me know when you want to sell it.

PS I like the icky green **** and all the weird color variations you get when the red leather interiors fade. You can't buy that stuff, totally 1st gen RX-7.

Here's the way I like them:

Here the interior of my new silver one, note the yellowish green shifter **** and horn button:

Cool Missing Part

Your also missing the scissors jack that mounts in the bracket just forward of your right side tail light.

I have the rear carpet panel and a bunch of other interior bits that I don't plan on keeping if your interested. In about the same shape as the stuff you've installed. In fact if I didn't know any better, I'd say that was my interior before I gutted it. Oh yeah, my carpet was black, not red, for some weird reason.
