What is this supposed to mean.....

I was looking over all of the stickers on my 1984 GSL-SE and came across one on the driver's side door jamb (I guess thats what you would call it) below the door latch.
It says something to the effect of "Maximum capacity (somenumber)KG's -340 lbs."

Does anyone else have this sticker? Because me, my passenger, and our cargo would be more than that for sure....

Is anyone else slightly bothered by this.....?

I'm by no means a small person, (6'2") and my brother is the same size. That alone puts us over the 340 mark. Not to even mention if I go buy 75 lbs. of groceries...

Maybe that's why my car feels like it needs new struts : )

I think it has more to do with the tires than anything. Today's tires are a lot better.

If I will tow things with a Civic, I will surely overload an RX-7 without a 2nd thought...

Those labels are just suggestions anyway. Just like speed limits, Surgeon general's warnings, nutritional content labels, dry clean only, and to not plug too much **** into one outlet.

I forgot about em because I haven't seen a pillow or mattress tag in years.

I suppose it's time for me to upgrade beds.

DOn't worry, when I tore the tag off my mattress, the date on it was around 1978. So, I imagine yours cant be TOO much worse, lol
