What should the oil pressure gauge reading be on a 12A at idle?
i just noticed tonight that at idle it's not really showing very much, but as i rev the engine it increasesthen decreases as i let go of the rev, is this normal?

i searched through my manual, and searched the forum, and even tryed serching on the web, but could not actually find info concerning this.
I hope someone out there does.

Your pressure should increase with rpm to a point. I don't remember the exact specific, and I don't have the Factory Service manual handy, but IIRC the pressure should go up to the 60 psi line (the middle one) at or before 3k rpm constant revs. Typical on my sevens' for idle is about half way between the low mark, and the next mark up.
The Racing Beat manual/catalog says:
Oil pressure in a stock engine ranges from 20 to 40 PSI at idle RPM. Above 3000 RPM oil pressure is approximately 70 PSI (the rear pressure regulator is set at 71.1 PSI), but may drop about 10 PSI above 4000 RPM due to oil foaming.
Sometimes dirt on the contact point of the sending unit can cause less accurate readings... pop the wire off and clean it. I know in my cars case that the oil pressure sending unit went bad
