what other cars have the 4x110 rim bolt pattern?

I know someone said 80's 626 rims will work but they are kind of ugly. Are there any other cars with this bolt pattern? I do not want to buy aftermarket rims as they are too expensive.

Do they make a wheel adapter for this pattern?

Thanks

I would NEVER trust a wheel adaptor as all I have seen have been at best, mediocre, and at most, down right dangerous.

There are VERY few cars that came with the 4x110 bolt pattern and I think the seven and the 626 are the only ones with 14 inchers. check out the 1st gen FAQ for more info.

Hope this helps

Personally, '86-87 14" 626 LX mags and the '86-87 15" 626 GT "pizza" mags look pretty good on a 1st gen. The 14" '83-85 won't look that good.

I always thought the F*rd Fairmont cars had 110mm. Or is that 100? If so you can get anything from a 13" to a 16" from anything from a '77 Fairmont to a '93 Mustang GT.

What about Escort-based fords like escorts and tempos?

Late model Ford 4 lug is 4X4.25" (~108mm) They won't fit. The old ancient Falcons and Mustang 6 bangers were 4X4.5, they will fit the SE's only.

Italian cars have 4 x 110

I know for sure Fiat's were 4 x 110 and I'll bet Alfa Romeo also are 4 x 110. Not sure if their offset is the same as for our 7's though.

Old *** Toyota Corollas had 12 inch 4x110 wheels. Not that that helps.

Go pimp those nasty steel eyesores. :p

They are only useful if you find a good 7 in the scrapper and someone has already taken the wheels.

the web site one of you guys mentioned said pre- 82 626 rims will fit.

Six Two Sleeper you said you have seen rx7's with 86-87 626 rims? Is this correct?

Hi guys,
The rims from the same year 626 ie '84 626 are the same as the rx-7 except theydon't have the polished finish. This is a great way to get a set of snow tires mounted. ( best car that I have ever driven in snow..........I damn near said that with a straight face)

I just looked on a MK2 supra website and they had a bolt circle of 4x114.3. How would these fit?

There's 4 generation of Supras... late 70's, early 80's, late 80's and early 90's. I've seen the early 80's (Mk2) Supra rims on FB's.

Have you tried this? I have a Ford 4-lug too so I'll have to try swapping some time when it's warmer.

Well, I have not. Someone said that '79-82 626 rims will fit, they do. He also said the 2nd gen 626 FWD rim will fit. As such, the '86-87 is a similar car to the '83-85 and the wheels interchange between both. So, if a '84 626 wheel will fit an RX-7 and a '84 626 wheel will fit a '87, then a '87 should fit an RX-7.

I had '84 626 rims that used to fit on my '87 (until I swapped the 626 to five-lug Probe GT brakes)

1979-82 626's share many suspension parts, and brakes with the RX-7 of the same era, I think. They had the same wheels in many instances. I saw a 1981 626 4-door with steel 13" '86-89 323/Tracer wheels. These had mazda mini-hubcaps so they were most likely from a 323, but tracer is same. The Capri FWD had the same chassis and wheels as tracer, so they will fit too. I think '84 626 rims will fit a protege, so protege/escort/tracer/323 rims should work. the 14" mag on the '86 626 fits the 323 so there is another.

I may be wrong, but doubt it now.

APT, go to your F*rd with a mesuring tape and measure the distance from the top lug to the bottom lug if the wheel lugs are like this:
.
. .
.

and if they are like this:
. .

. .

measure diagaonally. If your tape is in inches, use a calculator to multiply the distance by 2.54 and you have cm, multiply by 25.4 for mm.

I don''t have to measure it.

Contours wheels:
Bolt Pattern: 4 x 108mm
Offset: +40-42

GSL-SE wheels:
Bolt Pattern 4x110
Offset?

I think it won't even throw the speedo off too much, ~3%. I may have some time on Sunday. If I do, I'll snap pictures.
