First thing I did for you is change your title. This "please" help a newb out is getting old.

For future reference try to think of a title that people will know what you are looking for before they have to open the thread.

The gauge varies depending on ambient temperature. But 1/2 on the gauge is fairly normal.

If you want to properly monitor the temperature of your engine, I would recommend purchasing a quality aftermarket gauge. The factory gauges are crap. I would not put much stock in their output.

This being said, the doc is right. Right around half or below is normal (if the gauge is operating normally).

Dead in the middle, no fluctuation at any outside temp no matter how I drive. That's where mine has always sat since I got it. I replaced the radiator, oem thermostat, and a very thurow coolant flush with no change.

I've just accepted it.

Almost every 1st and 2nd gen I've had or worked on, 1/3 is the normal position for the needle. When mine gets to the 1/2 way point, I watch the temps more, as it can be a very short time to reach hot. If your's is holding steady and not rising above the 1/2 way mark, then accept it as your normal as these gauges can show different readings due to age, corrosion, etc.

Mine used to run at about half and would rise to 3/4 if you were having fun, I changed out the thermostat and put in some water wetter this weekend, 1/4 to 1/3 now, even with the AC on, me happy

do you have the top and bottom trays. the top one is going to sit just infront of the radiator and the bottom is going to sit just behind the radiator and in front of the engine, if you have the bottom one thenyou will know it as you cant see the ground when looking between the rad. and engine.

you can get a prosport gauge they are good quality im installing mine most likely this weekend.

you can get them from here
http://www.deftracing.com/prosport_gauges/index.htm

or straight from the source
