What kind of muffler is this?

I would like to replace my muffler for something a little less loud, but I am not sure what the current muffler is. I would like to know since I am planning on getting a RB muffler, but if that is what I already have I will look for something else. The set-up is a RB header with a straight pipe leading to the mystery muffler.

Add a pre-silencer. If you want to quiet it down any, that is the best way to go. If you try to cut most of the noise with a muffler only, it will be too restrictive.

If that's the streetport muffler from RB, it's actually a very nice very well flowing unit as it is a straight through design. Some of the other RB mufflers may look the same but internally are different and don't flow nearly as well.

What????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought everything from RB was top of the line. At least, that's what the RB fanboy's would have us believe.
I personally feel that RB stuff is mostly overpriced and overrated. Even though RB may be the only source for some parts that others have dropped.

I wish that were true but that fact is that RB makes some quality ****! Haeders is a perfect example of this. I have a RB Muffler thats lasted me through 2 12a's and now on my wild street port 12a and still chugging away!!

What presilencer are you using? I am looking at the RB website right now and I am not sure which one to get. My car is a GSL-SE, but it is no longer fuel injected, and it has a different 13B engine.

Just use the silencer that fits the exhaust, Don't worry about the engine or car.

I can't really get a good pic of it now, but I found one that it looks most similar to on the RB site. I have attached a picture of it below. It could be the road race header for 84 -92 13b 6 port (model 16127). the only difference is that the flange looks like a diamond instead of rectangle and the pipes are connected to the flange at a little bit of an angle. However the two pipes do not ever become one pipe before they reach the flange.
