What the hell did i do!

I hooked my my new battery wrong black to red and red to black when I did the box next to in smoked now my car is dead what happened?

Go to a partshouse and purchase new fusible links. Best to search as many have replaced those darn links with 30-40 amp fuses

Twist the fusible links back together if there's anything left of them. Then hook the battery back up the correct way. Report on your findings.

what do you mean twist we are talking about the little black box to the right of the battery with the little things hanging out you can pull out right

if your talking about the box that has the fuzes that some out with the strings that's it when I pulled each one out the middle one snapped on me

at any autoparts store, get some FLF bussman fusible links
20/40/20

Yes. Those things. Check to see if the wire inside one or more is broken. If so, twist it back together and try the car again with the battery hooked up correctly.

Don't twist em together, just get the bussman fusible links, they fit right in and look like they
belong there.

Twisting together = diagnosis. The long term fix would obviously be either a replacement or the bussman fusible links, although let's just say that I would be...impressed if the OP installed the bussman links.

There isn't enough wire in the middle one to twist back together just a stub on both side all I know is when it happened the box starting smoking. How much will the new links cost.

Not always but yeah its pretty difficult on an RX7..
Dude the fuses are so cheap like 50 cents or a dollar each.

Well the black cable is pretty banged up and corroded the red one is new the shop should of just replaced the black cable it's pretty bad.

Can anyone help me find the fuse links I went all around town and no auto parts store had them and I have been looking online to and can't find them unless I am not looking in the right spots.

Fuses have different ratings and they are colored coded. Someone posted the ratings several posts above

On my SA and FB with s5 alternator, i changed mine to 80 main. The 2 other pigtails can be 20 or 30 amp IIRC

So your saying about 30amp on the ends and 80 amps for the middle one?
