FD > FB > FC
turbo = FASTER
N/A = SLOWER
Well not necessarily....
I really dont know what to tell ya as you dont see turbo 12a setups that often.
If I were you and I wanted to get more power out of the 12a, I'd start with the intake and exaust.
Get a full racing beat exaust.
You can also go with an aftermarket carb setup, although I dont know how well they will perform on your stock engine.
I'd go with a carb upgrade option over a turbo, it would be much easier to do, and you'd probably be more happy with it in the long run.

It depends if you want to run it like a stock TII or not.
Having that kind of swap done is really somthing you should do your self.
By the time your done paying labor, you probably could have gotten a FD (well not really, but pretty close)
Labor is usually somthing like 80 bux an hour, and this thing will take a month or two. DO the math, you'll simpily be spending a fortune if you pay someone.
Do the swap yourself, you learn so much about your seven in the process.
EDIT: woops you didnt specifically say a TII swap. You were talking about turbo, then you brought up a 13b, and I jumped to conclusions. But you'd run into the high labor costs if you paid someone to do a N/A swap as well.

i dont think it really would take a shop anywhere near 2 months or even a month to do either swap if you supplied the parts. i was quoted 2 grand, but decided to do it myself. its still costly. rims, engine, ecu and suspension included, plus the other do dads, ill be spending about 4 grand for a mildly modded t2 setup.

Turbos create gobs of power but its so much hassle to deal with. You can make big hp with an n/a and by that time you'll have all the "other stuff" you need when you want more and go turbo.

I have an n/a 13B (from a second gen) in my FB and it provides plenty of power for me. The total investment I have in my car (the parts list is below) is between 3k and 4k (ECU included, engine is not as I got that free). While I'm sure I'll do a turbo FB in the spring, I'm more than satisfied with my current setup. It pulls quite hard and I don't really have to worry about having the perfect fuel mix or getting a slightly warm intake charge. Virtually bulletproof (after saying that, 10 to 1 I blow it in the next month ).
