What does this attach to? carb question

alright guys i've been working on this now for ever to try to sort it out ... i'm down to one last thing ... its the connector that goes inbetween the 2 clear hose (i think that they're for the oil or something, they have hose clamps at the end of them at the carb.) the connector is prob about 3/8 inches thick bubble head ... does that go to the cannister? can i just plug it?

what would really help is a picture, I believe the 2 clear hoses you are talking about are your omp lines, but from there on im confused as to what you are describing.

If they are the hoses that lead to the oil metering pump, then they connect to the carb. There should be two metal tubes (like vacuum line connections) side by side. Should be pretty easy to find, they're like the only connections that will line up with them.

if it's the one i'm thinking of, u don't really need it if u've already removed all the emissions stuff.

Doesnt that have somethig to do with the cold start assist? I know when doing the emissions removal, it is plugged. I am pretty sure its cold start assist. Should go to the clear (most likely now yellow colored) bottle on pass side up next to firewall.

I think that's correct, ricer...er, I mean Ian I think it goes to the cold start assist bottle.

Yep. I just went out and checked, and the line that's marked in the attachments goes to the cold start assist bottle. This is on a '79.
