What to do with a spare 12A?

I am new to the 1st gen forum. I've spent all my time on the second gen forum. I ran into a free 12A from a '81-'82. Odometer has 55k. Guy took it out and put a small diesel in there, gets around 50mpg.
Anyway, do you guys have any good ideas I can consider using this 12A for, or doing to it? I appreciate your input.

Sell it to a fellow forum member. If I did not have two spare engines I would buy it from you. Just a suggestion.

You should just sit on it like me. I pulled a pristine 12A in the hopes of parting it out for a small profit (probably less than min-wage ), but apparently nobody wants like-new rotors and irons...

My first thought was to tear it down to the short block, then clean everything up. If I were to invest in making it more powerful, that wouldn't happen for a few years at least, so I figured if someone else has grand plans for one, I'd sell it. Otherwise I'll most likely get some pictures up in this thread and post problems I run into along the way, all the while keeping an open mind to suggestions.

He put a Kubota 50hp(?) diesel in his '82. I don't know the exact model, I could get that information. But it is one that is from a Toro GroundsMaster, I believe. He says it's still fun to drive. He has a thermocouple in the exhaust which can very reliably be translated into a cruising HP of 12. In the future, he plans on fitting the model-specific turbocharger to the diesel; boosting fuel efficiency to near 70-80 mpg (all hi-way).

Id like to get more info. Seriously interested in what he did. Did he use the rx7 trans with an adapter plate or use another?

Thanks!

It was a custom adapter plate to the RX-7 tranny.
