What do I need to bolt on a Holley 650 Double Pumper?

I just recently bought a 1985 RX7 GSL that had Major Carb Problems. Would not squirt fuel into the ports.

So, today I ripped out the Rat's nest and took the Nikki Carb off.

What we have now is an Engine without a Carb.

My question is, What do I need to Bolt on a Holley 650 Double Pumper? I'm wanting to buy everything and hook it all up.

Thanks in advance

A 650 is too big to use on a stockport motor. Maybe on a bridgeport...

hmm, So what you're saying is, if I get a Holley 650, then I'll have to Bridge port my Engine?

Street Port isn't enough?

I like the way you think!

Someone says that the carb is too big and instead of thinking "ah, so I need a smaller carb" you think "ah, so I need a bigger port job"

Yeah, RB sells modified holley 465s for stock and street port. You *can* get away with a slightly bigger holley, but you have to be damn good at holley tuning (from what I've heard)

will a holley bolt onto the stock intake manifold or will he need to buy a holley intake manifold with the holley. man that can get expensive. i wish i had that kind of money. until then, i think i'm going to get a sterling carb. a lot more affordable.

I emailed Sterling, asked about the pricing. I may go that route.

That all depends on the porting work really.

Stockport good to around 150
Streetport between 170 and 185
Bridgeport around 220-240
Periferral 12a the highest i've heard about was in the 290s i believe.

It is cheaper, better gas mileage, more reliable, to go turbo unless your engine needs a rebuild anyway. Or you can always do both

I depends on how big the porting is. A 650 can still be way to big for a bridgy.

650 double pumpers are too big for many street V8s.

The problem is that all double pumpers are mechanical secondary carbs. It could work just fine *IF* you get a vacuum secondary carb instead of a double pumper.
