What connection is this?

Its on the rear part of the transmission. What is it? I sort of disconnected it without thinking, and there is no color coding on the wires, any ideas how to get the right connection when I put the trans back in?

It's either the reverse gear or the 5th gear sender. If it doesn't show in the wiring diagram, it may show in the manual tranny section of the FSM.

Put an ohmmeter across it, and run through the gears. It'll change state in only one of them.

I believe it would be the Over Top Switch. When you get the tranny back in the wires will only reach one plug that fits. That's the right plug. The wires should go over the top of the tranny and toward the front of the car.
The wires for the other switches all have different plugs. If original plugs are still there you can't plug them in wrong. The wires just reach to an area where an opposite matching plug is on the chassis.
