Arrow What is this connecter for?

This connecter is where my console should be im not sure what it is i think it might be the connecter for my side view mirrors but im not sure. i have a 80 rx7
any ideas?

wait I was thinking the wrong spot, I dunno what it is man, in the later years there was the stereo balance control right there, and slightly below the sifter theres a connector for the auto tranny shifter

Arrow auto trans??

Does that mean my SA came auto trans stock? and was change by another owner???

Mazda used the same wiring harness in all coresponding years , regardless of the accessories, which is why the RX's are so easy to upgrade. If your '83 didn't have power mirrors it's simply a matter of removing the mirrors, outer wiring and switch, then installing them on your car. the hardest part is locating and getting to the corresponding connectors (believe me). If an accessory wasn't installed the connector was tucked way up out of the way.
